New EP Eyemèr

Good Mourning To You

À propos du projet

Hi! I am Eyemèr, an indie singer-songwriter from Belgium.

Almost 4 years after the release of my debut album ‘Temporarily Colourblind’, I am back with an EP called ‘Good Mourning To You’. As usual the songs on this EP are about mental health, a topic around which I try to break the stigma with my music. But there’s more. 2018 was the year I came out as non-binary and embraced my queer sexuality to the fullest. This will definitely be apparent in the release, through the songwriting, but also through the music video(s).

Join me on this journey and let's make an EP!

A quoi va servir le financement ?

I need funding to make the EP become reality. I would need 3500 €. This covers the cost of recording, mixing, mastering, CD replication, artwork, shipping and errors. Whereas my debut album came out with the help of a label, I am now 100% independent. This means I have to cover all costs on my own. Luckily I am not really doing it alone, I have you!

You get awesome rewards in return for your contribution so definitely have a look at the perks!

Michiel De Maeseneer (Balthazar, Bazart, Douglas Firs, Faces on TV) is the producer of the EP. Working with him was honestly a dream. He understands what I want to make: pure and honest music. 2 of the 5 songs were recorded and mixed by Tomas Van Hove, the person I made my first ever recordings with and who still really understands what I stand for musically.

This is an all-or-nothing campaign. That means if the goal isn't reached by the deadline you get your money back. So you have nothing to lose :-).

You can't contribute? That's totally fine!

It already means a lot to me that you read this till the end.

But you can also help in another way: spread the word about this campaign. Share it on your social media. Sharing is caring :-). I am very grateful for any support, in whichever way. If you share my crowdfunding link, chances are I will reply and repost/retweet/…

Thank you for your time!

À propos du porteur de projet

Eyemèr is an indie singer-songwriter whose work is influenced by artists such as Soko, Daughter, Bon Iver and Waxahatchee. Sarah Devreese’s fragile, raw voice and dark lo-fi sound have become their trademark.

In 2014 Eyemèr (back then still using their own name: Sarah Devreese) reached the finals of Belgium’s greatest competition for musicians: Humo’s Rock Rally. In March 2016 their debut album ‘Temporarily Colourblind’ came out, a collection of 10 very personal songs that get under your skin. This album found its way into the Belgian newspapers and magazines and received enthusiastic reviews. ‘Losing Faith’, the fourth track from the album, got airplay on Radio 1 for a little while and ‘Promise’, the first single, was shown on the Television Program ‘Fans Of Flanders’. In 2016 and 2017 Eyemèr was the support act of well-known Belgian bands such as Marble Sounds, Isbells, Chantal Acda, Astronaute and Mad About Mountains.
